On July 2, 2025, Victor Buck Services became a signatory of the National Pact on “Business and Human Rights.” Arnauld Wulgaert, Chief Operations Officer of Victor Buck Services, signed the Pact on behalf of the company, alongside Xavier Bettel, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign and European Affairs and Foreign Trade.

A total of 15 Luxembourg-based companies signed the Pact that day, in the presence of the House of Sustainability, represented by Fernand Ernster, President of the Chamber of Commerce. They join a community of 75 companies that had already signed the Pact in previous years.

WHAT IS THE “BUSINESS AND HUMAN RIGHTS” PACT?

The National Pact on “Business and Human Rights” is part of Luxembourg’s second National Action Plan (PAN 2) on Business and Human Rights.

The Pact is a voluntary commitment aimed at business leaders who want to implement the United Nations Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights.

KEY COMMITMENTS

By signing the Pact, companies commit to:

• Raising awareness among their staff and stakeholders about human rights in the business context
• Appointing a dedicated person responsible for human rights within their organization
• Training relevant employees on issues related to business and human rights
• Developing governance tools to identify risks and prevent human rights violations
• Establishing one or more grievance mechanisms to handle reported human rights violations
• Publishing a standardized report every two years on the measures implemented

By signing the Pact, companies also benefit from:

• Increased visibility as a signatory
• Support from the House of Sustainability
• Peer exchanges on best practices
• Training opportunities on business and human rights
• Confidential feedback on their annual report from an external expert, helping them to continuously improve their approach to human rights
