VBS is currently looking for an intern in ITDevelopment (Full-Stack / Backend) for the first semester 2026.

This internship offers a fantastic opportunity to develop your engineering skills in a constantly modern Agile environment.

You’ll work hands-on with industry-leading tools and technologies, alongside a team of experienced software engineers on one of our newest strategic initiatives.

Within our IT Development Solutions team, you will contribute to the design and implementation of new features, improve existing components, and help refine the developer experience.

Working closely with engineers and product referents, you will translate functional needs into robust solutions, participate in code reviews, and implement automated tests to secure our delivery pipeline.

Your work will directly impact how our services evolve, how we deliver features, and how new developers onboard into the project.

Your mission

  • Develop and maintain backend and/or frontend features, ensuring code clarity, robustness and long-term maintainability;
  • Collaborate with senior engineers to design technical solutions, split user stories into actionable tasks, and contribute during refinement and sprint planning;
  • Implement automated tests (unit, integration, end-to-end) to validate functionality, prevent regressions and strengthen our CI/CD workflows;
  • Document your contributions through developer-friendly guides, diagrams and best-practice notes to support the team and future contributors.

What you will learn:

  • Modern development practices: clean code, modular architecture, API design, state management;
  • Agile delivery mindset: refinement, estimation, incremental delivery, retrospectives;
  • DevOps fundamentals: CI/CD pipelines, Docker tooling, automation for testing and deployment;
  • Security integration with identity providers like Keycloak;
  • Team collaboration: code reviews, pair programming, working with product owners and technical leads.

Your profile

  • Final‑year in a Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or similar;
  • Comfortable reading/writing oriented object code (e.g. Java, JavaScript, Quarkus, React.js);
  • Basic understanding of REST APIs & CI/CD concepts;
  • Fluent English & French (spoken and written);
  • Strong communication, autonomy, initiative and problem‑solving mind-set.

Top reasons to join us:

Victor Buck Services is a proud subsidiary of the POST group. Our mutual success comes from our shared expertise, solidity and synergies;

  • To join a flexible, dynamic, human-sized tech organization with ambitious plans;
  • To work on great projects and people;
  • To be important to our clients and to us.

In our team your talents will be valued, your ideas heard, and your professional growth encouraged in a stimulating and collaborative environment.
