To cover a maternity leave, VBS is currently looking for a Business Analyst with the ability to effectively bridge the gap between business needs and solutions.

You will support business implement technology solutions by determining the requirements of projects, or change requests, and communicating them clearly and effectively to all stakeholders.

You will report to the Head of Change Management.

Your mission  

Key responsibilities: 

  • Acts as the bridge between Business and ICT teams for all project, and change request, requirements;
  • Plans and manages the requirements-gathering activities for projects, including the ongoing management of requirements with version control, traceability, and scope management;
  • Proactively elicits requirements using various techniques such as Q&A logs, interviews, calls, meetings, workshops and observation sessions;
  • Organises and documents requirements in the clear, structured formats (e.g. Business Requirement Documents, Functional Requirements Documents, Business Process Models, Workflows and User Cases);
  • Performs verification and validation reviews of work artifacts with all stakeholders to ensure accuracy, completeness, and alignment with business objectives;
  • Contributes to project plans and assists in the workload analysis of projects or change requests;
  • Addresses change management issues and requests;
  • Identifies opportunities for improvement in business operations and processes;
  • May assist in testing activities, including preparing test scenarios, executing test cases, and supporting client User Acceptance Testing (UAT);
  • May create and maintain system documentation and/or user manuals.

 

Your profile  

To be successful in this role, you need:

Professional experience

  • A Bachelor degree in Computer Science (IT), Engineering, Business Analyst or equivalent academic background;
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience as Business Analyst. A strong experience in IT, ideally within the financial or printing/scanning sectors is an asset.

Technical skills

  • Proven ability to gather, analyze, and document business and functional requirements;
  • Solid experience in process modeling and system analysis (such as UML or BPMN).

Language skills

  • Full professional proficiency in English and French (written and spoken).

 Digital skills

  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft 365 collaboration tools (Word, Excel, SharePoint, Teams, etc.);
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Copilot or other AI-assisted productivity tools is considered an asset;
  • Hands-on experience with project management and collaboration platforms such as Jira or similar.

 Soft skills

  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate business requirements and technical concepts into clear operational requirements for both business and technical audiences;
  • Strong stakeholder management capabilities, including expectation setting and facilitation of the decision-making process;
  • Collaborative approach, working closely with Project Managers to align scope, timelines, and priorities;
  • Rigorous, structured, and detail-oriented mindset ensuring consistency, traceability, and quality of documentation across the entire requirements lifecycle;
  • High adaptability and resilience in a dynamic environments with evolving requirements and constraints;
  • Analytical thinking to anticipate risks, impacts, and dependencies.
